lola is my best friend and has been for the last 10 years, the problem has always been establishing which of my friends only wanna be my friend to hang out with lola...haha...well she has been a popular dog...it was hard to move her from the beach life we had in cornwall and move to the city but we found a nice home next to epping forest so she still gets to file her teeth down on stones...and run around with nature...she now hunts foxes instead of sea gulls...

This photo was taken by good friend of mine majid lamlum when we were running a night called rawpug in cornwall. We used a different image of lola in the end for the flyer and for the three year lifespan of falmouth people that flyer was  legendary, appearing in peoples home all over cornwall...

unfortunately lola, even whilst we were still in cornwall, developed a little lump which became a tumour and finished cancerous...Its been chopped of now and she fashions a butch looking one sided ear. Being a self employed artist aint always so reliable and at the time of critical surgery we had noooo money. I released the above stencil edition to start raising money.   £1000, was needed, at least that was the first quote....after a little bit of stressing and chatting to people i discovered that i could claim some support from the PDSA.  The bill came in considerably lower and is payed on a donation value.  I paid the total of stencil funds received at time of operation. Purchases were made on a privately agreed selling price. The PDSA were so shocked at the donation that i have received thankyou letters in the post...so far i have sold 6 editions anyone wanting to purchase email me on the following... louis.lou.i@hotmail.com
all stencil finishes are slightly different

I painted this on caledonia road, north london as part of the cally fest 2011, coincidently it was funpacked full of loads of falmouth peeps....funny how everyone meets in the middle of london...the painting has been really well received by the local community. Here is a link to the local newspaper article...

i always take lola painting with me, well almost always and so it was onLy a question of time before she was the image being painted....everybody loves lola...
